Follow-Up - Rehoboth Surgery Center

Exam Room Information

Once the decision to have plastic surgery has been made and your surgery is officially scheduled, a thorough examination will take place. This will occur a couple of days ahead of surgery. Our examination room is a secluded space that allows patients to work one-on-one with our nurse and medical assistants as they prepare you for your surgery. In addition, it is the same area where Dr. Yaker will visit with you and evaluate your post-operative surgical results.

Pre-Op Exam

Our exam room is fully equipped to handle a complete physical prior to surgery. During this appointment, we will take your blood pressure, a blood sample, check your heart rate and ensure that all other medical monitoring has been thoroughly provided. Our office requires that all patients over the age of 50 undergo an EKG before their surgical procedure. We have this technology on-site within our exam room for your convenience.

Post-Op Exam

Depending on the nature and extent of the surgery, your follow-up appointment could take place as soon as a day or two after the procedure. During this exam, the bandages will be removed and the surgical results will be assessed. When the time is appropriate, if stitches or any draining tubes need to be removed, this will be accomplished in the examination room.
